Hi, Buster. I am named after my Uncle Del Crandall. I am sure you know about his amazing catching career that started in the late 40’s when he was 19. Catching is the best position and you have what it takes to come back even stronger than you were before your accident. Hang in there. We miss you! You are what makes baseball fun to watch again. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Delette
Buster, baseball isn’t the same without you and the Giants certainly aren’t the same. We miss you a ton and look forward to your return to the game.
Take care of yourself!
Dear Buster,
Today’s game was sooooo awesome!!!But it’s not the same without you!!Whenever we play baseball at my school, I always choose catcher because I know that you loved the position you played & It’s also really fun(not to mention, I’m good at it:))!!I hope you heal quickly and play at least one game before the season ends, thats all I’m asking!!!And the last time I saw you was at your rookie of the year ceremony..which was really fun..But please Buster, I seriously hope You get better as soon as possible & I know its hard for you..But try:D!!!
Love, #1 fan..Love you Buster<3!!GO GIANTS:)))
WE fans will miss you, but we won’t forget you. Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery and looking forward to seeing you back at AT&T Park.
A Visalia, CA Giants fan
Dear Buster,
I’ve been a Giants fan for over 50 years. In that time you are the first real player who I think holds the team together and boosts their spirits when things get tough. Two years ago I pretty much did the same thing you did but not playing baseball. Just walking across a friend’s patio. Very graceful! Do everything your doctors tell you and you will be back to you wonderful self. Good thoughts to you.

Hope your leg gets better!!

You are such a positive person and an awesome part of the Giants’ success. We look forward to seeing you soon…in the meantime, take care of you. All our hearts, KIM and MARK ADORNI, Roseville, California
Dear Buster Posey,
I don’t know if you will ever read this, but I met you 3 times at the giants luncheons. At the most recent one, I wished you a happy belated birthday. I also was the girl who had the homemade photobook of you and your team. I hope your future surgery’s go well and that you have a speedy recovery. You will truly be missed this season. I can’t wait to see you come back better than ever in 2012. A year ago yesterday (May 29) you made an impact on the San Francisco Giants that no one will ever forget. Get better Buster! We miss you!
Love,
Melanie Capili

GET WELL SOON BUSTER!
SF loves and misses you!
Hi Gerald “Buster” Posey,
That hit was extremely hard to watch. I’ve been a Giants fan since I was a little kid watching games at Candlestick Park and that was the worse hit I’ve ever seen. I and the rest of the Giants fans/community wish you a speedy and full recovery.
Til “Buster’s better”…TAKE CARE!
Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.
We just heard your surgery went well and was successful.
Thanks for all you’ve given the Giants fans, we waited over
50 yrs. for a world series, you are a blessing!
Buster
My husband is a Toronto Blue Jays and I am a lifetime Red Sox fan, however the Giants are our favorite National League team since my son and his family have lived in the Bay Area. My 2 grandsons are avid Giant fans. We were two of the few east coasters who watched every Giants’ play off game last year and the world series. I was able to watch the victory parade on TV. With all that being said, we are so sorry about your injury. We wish you a speedy recovery.
Dear Buster,
We cringe at the sight of the play and wish and pray for your speedy recovery. You are an inspiration to all baseball fans. God bless you and your family. Remember, together we are GIANT.

Mr. Buster Posey-
You are truly a class act on and off the field. You have captured our imagination and inspired us to “never give up”. We know these next months will be a challenge for you, your family, the Giants and all the fans. We pray that you have a successful operation and a full recovery and will pray that you are healed quickly. Just know that we’re still rooting for you and you are an all star even if you can’t play right now :^)
Mr.Buster Posey, I am one huge fan of you and all of the giants! Even though you are out for the season wth an injury if the giants get to the world series i would love to see you there cheering on the giants to win the 2011 WORLD SERIES ONCE AGAIN! Rock on SF GIANTS and rock on Buster Posey. From, Cameron Hamilton
Talk about bummer of the century!!! I am hoping a praying for a speedy recovery for you Buster! Hang in there. We will definitely miss seeing your cute-pa-tootie face out there on the field! My entire family are Giants fans (my Dad has been a fan since the 50’s!) and we are all SOOO devastated by this. You’re amazing and we are looking forward to you coming back!
God’s Blessing to you and your family! I pray and speak the Word of God over your injury. Healing belongs to all of God’s children as they seek Him. Take care of yourself!
Your team and fans need you.
You are loved,
Judy and Roman
Dear Mr.Posey,
I love you and I want to give you lots of hugs and kisses on your boo boo to make you feel better. I pray for you every night with my mommy before I go to bed, and also I asked Father Mcallister to bless you and pray for you in the special intentions at my school’s, and regular Sunday masses.
You are my favorite player. I have your poster on my wall and I always tap it before my tee ball games for good luck. I wear your number on my tee ball jersey, I play catcher, and I like to chew bubble gum because I see you do it and It’s fun to pretend that I am you.
Do you watch Spongebob? I do! You should watch Spongebob, because when I feel bad my mommy always makes me macaroni and cheese and then she puts on Spongebob to help me feel better. My mommy helped me write this, and is a very nice lady.
I want you to feel better so that we can win the trophy again and then I can stay up past my bedtime on a school night again. I cried when I saw you get your boo boo and crawl on the dirt. Please write me back. I love you, and you are, and always will be my hero.
Love,
Mackey (5 years old)
I was really disappointed to hear that I won’t be able to see my favorite catcher and one of my overall favorite players play this summer at at&t park, but heres to your speedy recovery and continued love and support from your fans, friends, and family.
Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery Buster! This Angels fan is pulling for you too and is sure you will be back helping maintain your own pitchers’ E.R.A.s while running up those of rival teams better than ever next season.

I’ve always loved reading about Willie Mays first 2 seasons with the Giants when they went to the W.S. in ’51 and won in ’54. Finally after 40+ yrs of following the Giants, I got to experience the same kind of excitement live with Buster! Please come back next year! And best wishes with Fatherhood!

We miss you so much Buster!! But you will have a long career ahead of you. There must be a reason for this to have happened. One of my favorite scripture says, ” This too shall pass “. Enjoy your family while you are recuperating. Lots of love!!

Buster-
My family and I wish you a speedy recovery. We enjoy watching you play and appreciate all that you bring to the team. Sports as with all of life deal us all kinds of surprises. How we handle them demonstrates what we are made of. From what I’ve read about you and your family, and how you comport yourself on the field, I predict this set-back will be minor. And in the rear-view mirror of your career it will be a prelude of the great things you will do in the game and in your life.
Best Wishes From a Life Long Giants Fan-
Andy Bacaylan, Aptos, CA
Get better soon. You bring a lot to the Giants, and you are definitely missed.

Every fan in San Francisco is grateful for the thrills you’ve given us, and pulling for your speedy reovery. Can’t wait to see you back behind the plate. All the best! WENDY COLTON
