I tore my ankle ligaments playing basketball as a teenager, had to take the SAT on crutches and percodan…having surgery will make your ankle heal faster and better, and I know that instead of slacking by the pool like I did (dunked the cast a bunch of times, it fell off early, big mistake) you’ll do everything right. I haven’t been this upset about someone I’ve never met before in a very long time – but I guess that’s because the fans feel like they know you. I never miss a Giants game and you’re one of the reasons why. You’re a class act and seem to be a sincerely decent, good man. A rarity these days! You’re someone I’m proud to have my kids look up to and emulate. Take heart Buster, God has a plan and it’s obvious he has delighted in blessing you through your life! I will never forget when I was in Texas celebrating behind home plate with the other Giants fans celebrating our Word Series win and you were being interviewed so I started chanting “Yeah Buster!” and you looked up from the field and pointed right at me with a big smile on your face! That was awesome! You’re my favorite player and this really hurts!!! Get better soon buddy, we need you!
