I turned on the TV for back ground noise while doing housework and settled on the Giants game. It reminded me of my father working in the garage while listening to the radio. Giants baseball, always. I have been hooked ever sense and have enjoyed every minute of the amazing talent on the field, and you behind the plate. I know this soooo SUCKS! But while recovering, try to enjoy the time together with your wife while she is pregnant. This experience is a opportunity is disguise, if you look at it differently. It can assist you in the healing process. Bless you, heal well and will look forward to seeing you on the field when you are ready.

I can’t tell you how you getting hurt has also hurt me. I was sick to my stomach the last two days. Being a LIFE LONG Giants fan there has been no one player I have felt has been the most exciting and positive player to come to the club and YOU ARE my all time favorite.

Buster, hi again, and i hope the painkillers are doing their job…listen, i want to warn you about something that you may be concious of feeling now, but that also can sneak up on you when you least expect it, and that is the tremendous anger that comes with any severe injury or illness. this anger may be directed at different things at different times…e.g. scott cousins, your own body, god, etc. but to me, and i speak from experience of my own and family members, it’s like you’ve been “robbed” of the chance to be in a central, key, and even commanding position in your life, not to mention doing something you love.
i did not acknowledge this anger when i had the knee injury that ended my skiing and other sports, and it darn near poisoned my life. i started getting angry at people that didn’t deserve it – and even animals. i know my dad, after his heart surgery, got angry with mom, which was rare…you may find yourself resenting the people helping you because they are affirming that you are in a “helpless” position now. so my advice is: keep a close watch on that and don’t be in denial of the anger – express the rage when you need to, and above all, communicate with your family and friends and teammates about whatever emotional stage you find yourself in.
