As a Giants fan, I feel confident in saying that we miss you already, and hope for only the best for your recovery. I remember a recent game in which you broke up a double play with a spectacular sideways slide that appeared to abandon safety for effectiveness, and that seems to sum up what you do on the field every day. You are an inspiring athlete and teammate (I can tell), and the Giants and their fans – YOUR fans – will not be the same until you are back.

I ended up having a 10 year career in Aussie Rules football, won 6 national titles and was selected to the US national squad three times…all over the age of 40…
I have full confidence you’ll bounce back from this. Stay positive…your attitude and humor will heal you faster…don’t get down or sad. You’ll be back before you know it! If I can do it you can do it.

I am a Giants fan from New Zealand and you and Tim Lincecum are my two favourite Giants players. I watch all the Giants games live on MLBTV and I was so upset when I saw that you had been injured. Take care Buster. I can’t wait to see you back playing the game you love and are so great at again.
