Hi Buster,
I know this is such a hard thing to come to terms with…but I know that you are such an amazing athlete that I don’t by any means rule you out for the rest of this season!! If anyone could come back it would be you!!
And if not, you will be back better than ever next season and we will all be waiting to cheer you on…
You are missed, but you need to take care of yourself now…Once you’re better we can’t wait to see your smiling face in the dugout 🙂
Buster,
so sorry to hear about your injury. You will truly be missed on the Giants while you are out. Just won’t be the same without you. Been a huge fan of you since your first game with the Giants last season. Still be rooting for you for as long as your in baseball. Have a speedy and great recovery.
We all love you Buster and hope for your speedy recovery. You mean so much to the Giants and their fans.
–Cassie in Sacramento
Buster,
You are truly a wonderful athlete and I wish you a speedy and healthy recovery! I can’t wait to see you take the field again!
Stay Healthy, Stay Strong, Stay Giant!!!
From your Giants Fans in the Aloha State. Went to A.J. Cartrights grave today (father of Modern Baseball – 90ft between bases and all that – who is buried here in Honolulu) and said prayers for a healthy full recovery for you. I’m thinking for the best recovery outcome, you need to come to Hawaii. We will take very good care of you. We Love You Buster Posey!
Buster, we are certainly going to miss you behind the plate. But that doesn’t mean you need to rush your recovery. Do what the trainers/doctors tell you. We want you back but we want you well. 🙂 Take care. Best wishes to you and your family.
Get well, buddy. You’re in our prayers.Hopefully they can keep the pain at bay. We miss you. Good Luck!
Dear Buster,
I’m so sorry that you were injured. But when you’re sitting on your front porch in a rocking chair reflecting on your record-breaking baseball career later in life this will be a small bloop on the radar, not to mention a dramatic story to tell the bazillions of fans listening to you (on second thought, this might have to be a youtube video to accommodate all the people – “Buster’s Rocking Chair Ruminations” or something equally alliterative). In the meantime though, enjoy your time off and keep your other leg strong! I can’t wait to see you back on the Giants.
Brother Giant,
I had flashbacks to Pete Rose the moment he lunged for you when he didn’t have to. I know it was part of the old game, but so was headhunting pitchers and cleats up takeouts. You play the game with grace and poise and when that is marred by cheap and brutal we all feel less. I could dismiss this as a part of the game if you were blocking the plate, but you weren’t in the least. It would be the same if the runner was clotheslined by the catcher with the tag away from the plate, a poor choice that damages the heart of the game.
A clean play where everyone does their best inside the rules and the spirit of the game can win the respect of all the fans, not just your fans. This just made a team take a lead and took away a light in a room that needs all it can get. Heal and get back when you are ready, the fans respect you enough to wait for the day and the joy that will come when next you play our game.
respect.
It hurt a lot to not see you play tonight… You are dearly missed. You are in our prayers. Next season, I hope you will be fully recovered so you can make your fans happy again.
This Giants fan is hoping and praying for as little pain and lots of healing in your very near future. I’m sad you’ll be out the rest of the season but look forward to seeing a healed and happy Buster playing in 2012! (I’m sporting my orange and black every friday) GO GIANTS!!! 🙂
Hey Buster, I hope you get well soon and play again.
Dear Buster,
Even through this brutal injury, you exemplify the words “class act”. I am distraught about the situation, and I, along with thousands of others, will have a bittersweet feeling as I go to Giants games while you are gone. We know that you are central to the success of the Giants and we will miss you tremendously. But, more importantly, I know that your strength (physical and emotional) will enable you to continue your superb career. Here’s to full recovery at YOUR pace.

Buster hang in there. I know in time you will be back good as new! Thanks for being such a hige part of the Giants success last year. I saw my first Giants game 44 years ago at age 6 and still play ball today. While my father didn’t live to see the Giants win a world series I’m honored to have witnessed it with my wife, son and family in our lifetime. Al the best for a speedy complete recovery. Please take the time to enjoy some time with your wife and the twins who will soon enter your life.
Feel better Buster! We look forward to seeing you get better and back on the field! You’re such a great player and we love watching you play. Good luck with recovery!

Dear Buster, You are great ball player, but an even a better soul, evidenced by constant displays of grace and integrity. Thank you for bringing your all to baseball, it will be less interesting without you for a while. Your fans look forward to the day you return to the game. Until then, wishing you well and keeping you in my prayers. Krista
Hey Buster,
Part of me wants you back tomorrow, but the majority wants you to take all the recovery time you need! Think I am going to have to wear my Buster Posey jersey to work on more than just casual Friday in support of my favorite player on my favorite team. Your fans love you and wish you the very best!!! Let me know if I can do anything to help (for example, I make really good chocolate chip cookies).

Here’s to a good recovery. Don’t want it to be speedy, nor should you want to rush it. We’re proud of all that you accomplished, and want you back on the field, but it’s best to do what is necessary and don’t come back too soon. Good luck recovering and you’ll always have a place in this Giants fan heart.
Get Well Buster..The Giants and all of your fans will miss you while you’re out. Rest up and come back stronger than ever..GO GIANTS!
Buster, I hope and pray you heal soon. You are my favorite Giant!!! I am sad I won’t be seeing you for the rest of the season from FC121. Take care and be well soon! Arlene
Buster,
I love your passion for the game, which you show every time you’re behind the plate. Please make a speedy recovery and know that the Giants nation is behind you all the way. Best wishes to you and your growing family. Listen to your wife and eat all your jello (just a little hospital humor). -Val
Hope you are well soon. — Rockies fan.
Dear Buster,
Say it aint so! You’re my favorite ballplayer and embody everything that’s great about baseball- your focus, maturity, leadership, cool head, and skills as an athlete are inspiring. You made me fall in love with the Giants and baseball all over again. If anyone can come back 100 percent, it’s you! Get well soon, I’ll miss you on the field and you’ll be in my thoughts! – EA
Wishing you the quickest and best of recovery. Believe in the Giants; they will get to the playoffs. Come back in October and show everyone why you are part of the defending world champ squad.

Get well soon! Hope you have a speedy and full recovery!
Buster,
I am a huge fan of you and the Giants. I have learned a lot from watching you play the game of baseball with such respect and excellence. We are going to miss you in the line up everyday. Can’t wait to have you back in that Giants uniform playing for us everyday. I wish you a speedy recovery and we need you back at 100%. Hang in there the game is waiting for you.
Wishing you a quick recovery! Looking forward to seeing you behind the plate again soon.
Godspeed on you recovery, Posey. I hope you come back better then when you left. Like the movie Rookie of the Year. Funky Butt Lovin!
Get well soon, all of your fans miss you already. Take care
Get well Buster. Take your time and rehab right the 1st time. Giants fans (and all MLB fans too) want you back whole and healthy.

You’re a rock, Posey! You’re a year younger than me and I completely look up to you. I admire your positive attitude toward the whole incident. Watching that play live the other night, I thought your head got smashed…what an absolutely terrifying thing to see. Like you said, glad you “only” have a tore up leg. See you at ballpark, Buster! Can’t wait to see you in the squat again.
Buster, please get well soon. If not for me, then for my cat, who is a bigger Giants fan than I am.
Buster, please get well and enjoy your family during this unfortunate hiatus. I just want to say that my prayers are with you. At 40 years old, I am a brand new fan to baseball–the Giants specifically–because of you. Your talent and charm won me over during the amazing season you and your team had last year. My husband credits you for now being able to enjoy a game while I ask questions and root on the team instead of shouting “Change the channel! I hate baseball!” as I have for the past 20 years. We were watching when you were hurt and I could see how much pain you were in and felt really sorry for your wife, undoubtedly watching in horror. Get well quickly and spend some quality time with her! Much gratitude, Jona from American Canyon, CA.
