Watching that collision is still heartbreaking to this day and I thank God that you didn’t suffer any spinal or neck injuries. You’re young Buster and you have a beautiful future ahead of you. Ouchie wah wah! Hope your pain isn’t too bad. Drink lots of prune juice if your pain pills are opiates (and they sure should be.) Prune juice is yummy and it really works. Trust me on that, I learned it the old fashioned way: trial and error! Prune juice: good, no prune juice: bad!

he keeps the defense sane
his throws are not in vain
and the batters feel the pain.
Our first baseman’s name is Huff
he’s really got the stuff
he’s not some piece of fluff
he’s rough and tough – and buff.
On second base is Freddy
it seems he’s always ready
his hitting’s really steady
and his defense downright heady.
My favorite guy is Buster
a catcher who’s hard to fluster
his pink cheeks have that luster
his team’s mojo he can muster.
“I’m lost without a boss!”
is what we chant for Cody Ross
he can hit and run and toss
he sure helps us avoid loss.
And then there’s hairy Brian
he sets the girls to sighin’
on the mound he’s like a lion
and he leaves the batters cryin’.

Get well soon! But don’t try to push it. Take it from an old fan who tore ligaments when I broke my ankle over 30 years ago. It takes time to heal but when healed you will be stronger than ever. We will miss you behind the plate but you are yound and should heal well. all good thoughts to you and your family.
