Buster. . . you are a rare gem both as a baseball player and a person. Life throws you some big nasty curve balls. You’ll be back next year to hit it into the left field bleachers at AT&T. You’ll be looking back on all this some day fully recovered. Hang in there, day at a time.

there are many things in life that seems not to have any reason…. your injury might be one of them, but you must have faith in God… enjoy the recovery and give your best…. when you come back to the GIANTS you’ll be stronger and bigger star… i will have your number 28 on my Facebook every day from today until you come back and we (my son Alexander and I) will be on your first at home game… don’t even thing in giving up catching for 1B… you’re a CATCHER…. you knew this injury could happen and you never hesitate to play…. Yesterday, I was wearing your jersey, and I was going shopping with my dad and my friend, I ended up passing out in the store and spending hours in the hospital, the doctors all told me that it was out of sympathy for you. I guess I just really wanted to spend time in the hospital just like you. I know that I am completely better, and I wish you were too. I hope that you have a speedy recovery, we are all thinking about you, and I can’t imagine the pain of breaking a fibula. I hope you get well soon and can continue playing like the rookie of the year we know you are 🙂

You’ve captured the hearts of millions of fans, became the rookie of the year, helped your team win the championship, and most importantly you’ve become my favorite player..lol! You are the heart and soul of this team. Although it will take time to recover completely, we all love you and can wait to see your smiling face behind home plate again.
