after taking my family to Walter Reed multiple times and then to UCSF multiple times ultimately you learn to be grateful for all that you have been blessed with………you can’t look back and say “what if” because it is always about looking forward and asking “what can be if I go all in”………but you know that…….just don’t forget it……..
Get well soon Buster. It will be a tough year for Giants fans without you in the lineup. You will always be orange and black, and a Giant. Until 2012!
Best wishes for a full recovery ! You are forever in our hearts and prayers. I am confident that with your character and dedication, plus the expertise of your medical staff , you will emerge from this advesity even stronger than you were prior to it. THANK YOU FOR BEING WHO AND WHAT YOU ARE ! A fine example of all that is right with the greatest game ever invented.
DEAR GERALD DEMPSEY POSEY III,
I was devastated the moment I saw the collision. Adrenaline hit me and I was so scared of what was going to come of the situation. I literally cried myself to sleep that night over your injury and what kind of pain you must have been in. I pray every night for your’s, Bryan Stow’s, and every person’s protection and healing. The day after the incident, during morning assembly at my school, the WHOLE STUDENT BODY prayed for you and it was just a powerful moment. You are a great person and ball player with a kind heart and something like this should have never happened to you. I’m so sorry about your injury…I wish I could just come bring you a jumbo ice cream sundae and the get well present I made. But I am also very happy to hear that you underwent successful surgery. I understand you are out for the rest of the season and you will be missed. But I know you will come back in 2012 healthier and stronger than ever to lead the Giants to another WORLD SERIES. Watch out for my sign at a game saying, “BIGGER. BETTER. BUSTER. see you in 2012!” Please rest and get recover as soon as possible. I will keep you and the Giants in my prayers. GOD BLESS!
– Grace (13)
It just ain’t the same without you. But I know you are going to come back all the way. As a father of twin girls, I can say that perhaps the only upside to this is that you will be able to be there more with your babies. And you’ll be glad you were able to be there! Have a strong recovery and we’ll be waiting for you.
Hi Buster! We wish you a very speedy and complete recovery! We miss watching you play! Congratulations and best wishes for your growing family…we will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers!!!
Oh and thanks for helping to bring us a World Series Championship!
Saw the play, did not like the outcome. Its hard to believe that such an outstanding player as yourself will not be able to finish the 2011 season. You keep working on your injury and get yourself ready for 2012 season. We know that you will come back stronger then ever, cause thats a kind guy you are.
Buster, you are loved by all. Be patient, heal well and good luck to your wife, it won’t be easy for her either!!
Buster,
We wish you a speedy recovery. Disappointed you won’t be on the playing field but … next year! We wish you all the best, Judy & Kevin
YOU are sucked me into watching baseball again. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE work hard at getting better soon!! You are a role model for soooooo many of us who watch you. In the meantime, work that upper body hard!! The one good thing that has come of this injury, is your two little ones will have their dad their to welcome them into the world. PLEASE get back on that field soon. Your team needs you just as much on the sideline calling plays!!!
Buster, I wish you a speedy, without as much pain as possible, recovery! You are very much missed!
You are a breath of fresh air in your professionalism and the way you carry yourself on and off the field. I’m sure your family is very proud of you. Best of luck with PT and take care..
This is a very tough thing to have to do. I just want to say you’re my hero along with all the guys that accomplished this seemingly impossible dream, a World Series Championship.
It sounds kind of stupid. It’s just a game, but after 30 years and three World Series experience I don’t think we could have dealt with another disappointment without serious depression setting in. You were a key team member in making this thing happen. You’re just 24 years old and there are old dudes that have been suffering longer than you have been alive hoping to see it happen before they cashed it in.
It was fate that you be born to do this. I want to see you play on for the next 16, or 17 years, hopefully in a Giant uniform. You’re our Willie Mays, our Mickey Mantle, our Johnny Bench. God speed in your recover. Hope to see you stronger and better than ever very soon.
BUSTER!!! You are my all time favorite player!!! Get better soon!!! ALL US GIANTS FANS LOVE AND MISS YOU!!!!!
Get well soon Buster!!! we’ll probably see you next season, you’ll be better then ever!!!
Buster, thanks for making 2010 happen for me. Been waiting since I was 11 years old (1970) and listening to the games at night with my transistor radio. Here’s to a speedy recovery, and hopefully you’ll be back in time for the play-offs……………Rick

Let me first start off by saying i am your number one fan. Ive loved you from the start and you have done wonders for my favorite team in the world, the Giants. I am so upset that you have gotten hurt not only because you are such an asset to the team, but I am currently studying abroad in Australia, not coming home till June 6th and the first thing I wanted to do when I got back was go to a Giants game and see you play. Sad I wasnt able to watch you, but I hope you get better as soon as you can!
Hey Buster, I hope you get well soon!!!!!!!!! So sorry about the injury. Can’t wait to watch you play again. 😉

Giants fans fell in love with you last May and are mourning your injury and loss for the season. I am so happy surgery was successfull and your prognosis is good. You will overcome this “setback” and be better than ever!! Come back to us soon!
You are my favorite base-ball player ever, and extremely hope you get well soon. I’m such a fan!My little brother says that he hopes you feel better and really wants you back on the field. My little sister says that she hopes you get back on the field ASAP.

Buster –
You are in my thoughts, buddy. I am so sad that you have to endure this injury, but I know your strength of character will bring you back next year…better than ever! I will be waiting for that day, believe me.
Get stronger, and enjoy the time with Kristen and those twins when they get here!
Hugs, Candace Hefner Naliboff
My Family and I are praying for a full and complete recovery for you.
my daughter was so upset by your injury she went to her first Giants game last year and became hooked on the game because she saw you and had to have a shirt with your name on it. She is a faithful watcher now as she lives in Oregon and doesn’t get down for to many games. So on behalf on my daughter and the rest of us giant fans, get well soon , we will be waiting to see you next year.
Dear Buster,
Losing you to injury seems such an unnecessary tragedy at such a strong point in your career. My friends and I wore our Posey shirts to school to show our support for you. I’m still an avid fan of the whole team but you’re still my favorite!
Have a speedy recovery! Wishing the best for you and your family!
Maggie (16)
I wish you all the best for a 110% recovery! The Giants nation is rooting for you and misses you at every game. Stay strong and stubborn and you will fly through this with an even more determined sense of destiny!
Sarah
You are one heck of a player. Love to watch you. Come visit, but only if you bring your wife and baby’s. Napa Ca. is a wonderful place to visit, and we would love to babysit. God bless and heal quickly.
Buster,
I hope you get well soon because that was a nasty collision you had to take. Being 11 years old, it is always past my bedtime to watch night games but I do it anyway to watch you guys win or lose. I hope you get well soon so you can be fresh to play in 2012. It sucks to not see you play everyday but I have to understand that injuries are part of the game and that your injury could’ve been more serious. Hope you get better soon!
-Melissa
Dear Buster,
The Giant’s aren’t the same without you! You’re still my favorite player even though you’re not on the field at the moment. The other 2 catchers have nothing on you and you’re still the best one they’ll ever have. Get better soon, Buster!
Ashley(14)
Dear Posey,
You are AMAZING! It’s a shame that you are out for the whole season, but we know you are going to make a great comeback next season! Anyways I hope you are feeling better and best wishes to you and your family. Your fans love you and we can’t wait for you to return to AT&T park in 2012! POSEY’s POSSE: WE GOT YOUR BACK…err… LEG!
Go Giants! God Bless,
-Kelsey 🙂
I probably speak for many that we have been watching very closely for news of you and glad you have seen how much support you have. Hoping getting to spend this time with Kristin while waiting for the babies can be a bright spot. The worst was seeing you in so much pain and I hope that is lessening. Feel Better Fast !!!
