Buster, I am old enough to be your grandmother, but I have been a Giants fan all my life and I could still kick the butt of the idiot who hit you if I got the chance. I want you to just take good care of yourself and get better cause as Giants fans have always said, there is always next year, and I expect to see you out there, if not as a catcher, anywhere else would be fine with me. You are an awesome guy and the Good Lord is going to take really good care of you, especially with all the prayers coming your way. Your boys will keep the team going all the way this year until you get back, I have the faith! Love you and miss you and see you soon!!! GO GIANTS!!!

Buster, I’m so sorry to hear about your injury, and I hope you’ll be able to rejoin the Giants before the season is over. Remember, you are in God’s hands, and only He knows what will happen, so I hope you will be able to turn to His Word during your convalescence and recovery.

    Buster,

The romance between poetry and baseball is one long and sweet. Take, for example, these lines from Jack Spicer’s “Four Poems for the St. Louis Sporting News”: “God is a big white baseball that has nothing to do but go in a/curve or a straight line. I studied geometry in highschool/and know that this is true.”

I’ve written a poem, “Broken Posey.” Perhaps you might enjoy reading it (or not) as you’re on the mend. (Please see below.)

    Best regards.

We love you Buster! True story..My mom who was recuperating at our home in the East Bay from surgery became a die-hard Buster Posey fan. She kept saying “There is something special about that guy”. When she found out about your injury she honestly felt so sick and immediately started praying for you. She nick-named her great-grandson who just started playing T-Ball…little Posey. Take care..we miss you.

I’m going to wear it for school pictures. 🙂 that’s how much you amaze me! Me and my friend were talking last night, and she loves Brandon Crawford, so were Going to make a show called “The REAL Housewives of the Giants” hahahaha. In our dreeeams. I hope so. 🙂 I get to redo my room orange and black this summer and Im going to buy your Fathead Sticker thing that has the huge picture of you. 🙂 I’m so excited! I still keep wondering what your doing everyday, and how your feeling. I hope your feeling better. I don’t like knowing that your in pain. 😦 It makes me sad. You are part of the Giant family and Carol & I truly appreciate the joy you have given us over the last few years. We hope to see you with the team for the duration of the year (though I’m sure you deserve time away to be with your baby and wife), your teammates and us fans will love seeing you in the dugout.

    Buster,
I was saddened to hear that such a great player was injured so badly. As much as we would all like to see you out there on the field playing, I’m glad you’ve been given this extra time to heal. This way when you come back next season, you’ll likely be more well rested and stronger. It would be bad for you to come back too soon and possibly re-injure yourself, so as much as we would miss you, please take as much time as you think you need to fully heal and come back to us 100%. Please be careful and here’s to hoping you recover with the least amount of pain possible, and as quickly as possible.

Well I’m going to write you everyday until your better, that’s what my friends did for me when I was injured, they wrote on my Facebook every single day, and it really did help me. And hopefully youll notice me sooner or later:) I know you hate not being able to do what you love to do, trust me I know. Speaking for everyone, you didnt let any of us down. We all know your an AMAZING baseball player. And when you come back you’ll be even better than before, I just know it. I think about you everyday, and just wonder how your doing. I wish there was a way I could talk to you and ask you, but there isn’t. 😦 it is sad to watch a game without you playing, but it just gets me excited to see you back! We all miss you, hope your doing at least a little better<3

    Hey Buster,
You’re a champion. Best wishes on your recovery and I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. If there’s any silver lining to this bad circumstance, it will be the fact that you can spend some quality time with your soon-to-be newborns. Because you’re such a gamer, I know you’ll be recovering as fast as you can, and when the time is right, I’ll definitely be excited to see you behind the “dish” again.
    God Bless.

I don’t pray that you get better right away and get back on the field this season. Because I know that’s not happening. I just ask God that you are happier, healthier and stronger in 2012 than you ever were in any season. I am also thankful I was able to go to a game and see you play before the incident. Please just rest and heal completely.

Buster, you were brought up on may 29th, my 37th birthday. i went to the game and watched you in person for the first time. you shown brightly. you being here in SF brought an end to an era of coming up just short of the best, and a beginning of a new era of confidence and achievement. last year wouldn’t have happened without you! thank you! i greatly anticipate your return to the diamond and the game we both love. with great appreciation, Craig

Buster, I think I’m having sympathy pains…I’ve had alot of knee and ankle trouble over the years, including a break, and I still have alot of metal in my right one, but I find it interesting that I had some pretty intense pain in the left ankle the night you were injured, and it’s been bothering me more than usual ever since then! I hope I’m taking some of your pain away, if such a thing is possible.
    We love ya, kid.

Hey Buster, I know you are going through a very rough time right now but believe me it does get better each day. Once those twoo little babies arrive and you see them for the first time you will really start to feel better. Be as patient as you can to heal and go back in 2012 and do what you were put on this earth to do and that is to play the wonderful game of baseball. Take care Buster, we are all rooting for you.

Hi Buster, first of all, I am a huge fan and love to watch you play. I was getting worried about you because I felt that you needed more time off because of the demands of the catching position. I was devastated when I watched “the play” over and over. Now I am saddened by the vengeful comments since the injury. What good would it do to try to hurt other players? I will pray for healing for you and the Giants fan who was injured at the Dodger game. Peace be with you, Gail Lynch
