Buster, you were not only a phenominal player but a wonderful person who didn’t deserve your injury. I read once that you are “the essence of everything good about baseball” and i couldn’t agree more. But as shocking as your this whole ordeal is for us as fans and I’m sure for you and your family as well, it may just be a blessing in disguise. MLB is starting to pay attention to catchers, because of you. You stand on this incredible platform to bring awareness to the dangers of the game especially for players like yourself, and that in itself if worth celebrating. Not to mention the fact that you have two amazing twins on the way! Maybe the recovery time will give you a chance to be with Kristen and your new family and take a breather for a bit. You will surely be missed by Giants fans everywhere, but thanks to your sincerity and graciousness, the entire baseball world is hoping for your speedy recovery. get well soon Buster, I broke my leg 3 years ago; with the help of vodka and dancing in heels. it’s a slow recovery, and we will miss you behind the plate. but i’m sure Eli will step it up, just concentrate on rehabing your leg… GO GIANTS!!!
