Buster…I’m SO sorry that you got bulldozed by that baserunner last night. I tore several ligaments in my left ankle back in ’97 and it took me about 6 months to recover from it. I know how you feel! You’re such a fine ballplayer and an out and out NICE GUY! The team will be lost without you..as will your devoted fans! You’re an asset to the Giants in every way and a great example to the younger guys as well as being a brilliant catcher. Please take your time and heal well as soon as you can. I hope you will consider (possibly?) playing another position when you return next season (and you WILL be back next season, right?!). You’re an all around great baseball player…you could do anything you wanted to! Sending you all the positive thoughts & wishes for a speedy recovery that you could ask for.
