Buster, speedy recovery! From experience, I know the greatest thing you will do in life will be to be a good parent.

Buster, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God’s blessings on you and for a speedy recovery. Saw you play in Fresno last spring before your call up! I’ve been a loyal Giants fan since the late ’50s, but couldn’t have been prouder of last year’s team and the crucial part you played in the club earning the world championship. Can’t wait for your return, but in the meanwhile know that we all love you and will miss you until then!

My wife and I got your bobblehead at Fresno last year. Not only are we proud of you for what you’ve done on the ball field we are especially proud to be fans of yours for the kinds of things you’ve done off the ballfield.

As a disabled person I know that the toughest part of dealing with being on the DL is keeping your mind occupied in ways that are productive. When the rehab starts remember that’s your fulltime job for now and if you keep the same determination and energy applied to the small movements they make you do as you would to the larger movements you’re used to making you will recuperate that much sooner and better. Keep moving in your mind until you can move the muscles, too. Visualize and don’t forget what made you a great player.

You’ve got great spirit and citizenship in everything you do, apply it to yourself, too. Get well, Buster; we’re in it with you.

Hello Buster. You are extremely close to my heart. Get well soon. You’re strong, confident and determined out on the field and I know you will keep that same mind set as you battle this injury. You will overcome this, champ. I promise 🙂

Buster, we were watching the game and felt so sad for you. I also said to my husband, “His wife is watching this.” I am sure this is difficult time for both of you but you will get through this and, oddly, be better for it. So much to look forward to, especially a new baby and years and years of success ahead. My prayers for patience, healing and good health are with you.
